What's a 710 ?March 2010.
Do you know what a 710 is ? A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten.
We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten?'
She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..' She went on to say that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there.
The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like.. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked 'Is there a 710 on this car?
She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.'

Drivers 'least fond of female 4x4 owners'Sun 7th October 2009.
Female drivers of 4x4s are the most annoying to other motorists, a study has found.
Most drivers feel that female 4x4 owners find it hard to park and generally handle their vehicles.
The study showed that 45 per cent of drivers think that all 4x4 owners are bad drivers, with 63 per cent of those questioned stating that the motorists show no regard for other road users.
"I think the reality is that women feel safer in a bigger cars and I can see the benefits of getting children in and out of a bigger car," said the spokesperson.

Pink car drivers 'make most claims'Tue 24th April 2009.
Anyone thinking of brightening up their motoring with a garishly-coloured car should think twice after research showed pink car owners make the most insurance claims.
Figures from car insurers esure seem to dispel the myth that bright cars are safest by showing that one in four pink car drivers registered with the firm have claimed on their insurance.
The safest coloured car is sky blue, with just one in 10 drivers having lodged a claim. Esure drew up the tables from more than 70,000 claims made to the company.
Claims for pink cars account for fewer than 1%. The second most dangerous cars are the much-maligned black vehicles, with 22% of drivers having lodged a claim. Yellow and mauve car owners are also frequent claimants, on 22%, with silver car drivers on 20%. Among the safest colours are beige (16%), white (17%) and bronze (18%). And only 18.4% of red car drivers - who have a reputation for driving fast - have made a claim.
Commenting on the figures, esure head of claims Gordon Hannah said: "The ever increasing palate of colours available on cars, and the introduction of removable colour panels on some, means the fashion conscious really can match their car to their wardrobe.
"People think the brighter a car is the safer it is, simply due to its visibility. However, there are lots of other factors to consider, such as the types of drivers likely to choose particular colours as their lifestyle badge, or the cars' attractiveness to thieves."
PinkCar.co.uk is Live!Tue 24th April 2009
Well, believe it or not... it's been about three years PinkCar.co.uk has been offline. We just didn't have the time. After receiving many emails asking "when is the site going live again" we decided to do this within a few hours.
Since we have only spent a few hours on it we still have a long way to go before we'll be happy with it. You may notice a few pages dont work (or can't be found). This is because we haven't made them yet.
As I'll be off on holiday soon the site updates will have to wait. We do however need your help. Any ideas, suggestions, please send them to us. Many Thanks.
